This painting is of the Namib Naukluft National Park in Namibia. The artist did not take the photo, but saw it on the internet and the colors were so striking that it needed to be painted. Oil paints were used in the traditional way and impasto was used to depict the salt flats. The 16 x 20" original oil painting continues on all sides of the canvas and is ready to be displayed unframed or framed.
